Today has been a day, and tomorow will be too.

There's no other way to say it. Just a typical day. I ate some pizza, did some school, read a couple of books and knit.

I did do something rather amusing. . . I listened to "Outrage" by Capital Lights. Nothing strange about that. Except that I listened to it 36 times in a row. That's about two hours straight. I had to pause it to answer my phone so it didn't count after that. It wasn't even an important call, I could've made it to 40. I know I broke a personal record, but I hope I broke some sort of national record, that would be cool. Let me know if you ever hear of such. I bet you think I am a broken record because I talk about Capital Lights so much.
I also broke the record of Most Fingerless Gloves Knit in One Day. I'm working on my sixth now.

Can you tell that my life has settled into a slow fall-like pace? I like it. I'm not posting this to tell you about my boring and strange idiosyncrasies, just to let y'all know that I'm over the flu. Thanks for praying. I was just lying on my bed, knitting and singing Falling Up songs and I thought why not post a bit on my blog. Things have been slow in my personal blogland.

Tomorrow is Halloween, and we have a tradition in my family. We buy everybody's favorite candy and turn out all the lights at dark. This ensues a lot of bumping around and giggling. After careful trading and distributing, we eat the candy and watch some movies. We always watch two movies, scary and not. This year it's Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, and we haven't decided the other one. I voted Psycho. Mother said no.

I feel like cooking something tasty (my brother is looking eagerly over my shoulder. I'll bet he wants chocolate chip cookies) and I have to make a menu too.

See ya,

Sophia

Cough, cough

I've got the swine flu. I know it comes from pigs, but I shall rename my particular case zombie flu because that's what I feel like. I'm drinking a lot of green tea because it helps which is great because I adore green tea and drink it all the time anyway.

Everyone in the family is doing bad. Right now I'm so lethargic I just want to veg out in front of the T.V., so you can really tell I'm sick. Especially since yesterday I couldn't decide what to watch and then turned off Pirates of the Carribean. At least I'm not so sick that I don't want to watch Star Wars. Mostly all day I've been watching Kutless music videos and partying with my family since it's my big brother's birthday. I'll post about that some other time.

Please pray for us,

Sophia

Donuts

I drew this picture a while ago. It says, "Necessity is the mother of invention"

I love donuts and this is my crazy (and hungry) idea of humor.

Sophia, who is contemplating making cinnamon rolls. . .

Pictures

Here are some pictures I took from the concert!

Seabird

Danyew

David Crowder Band

I was going to post some videos, but I'm not sure of the legality of that, plus they were all horrible because I was in the way back and everyone in front of me was standing.

Apropos of nothing, the other day I was singing only one line of the chorus in "Outrage" by Capital Lights. I'd sing it every time it came around and eventually I turned to my sister and said, "Does that annoy you when I sing like that?" Mishearing me, she said, "Is that normal? For you or for regular people?"I thought it was funny.

Anyway, enjoy the DCB music I added to my playlist.

David Crowder Band Concert

Oh my word.

I am blown away!!! That concert was unbelievably amazing! We watched Seabird, Dan Yew and the David Crowder Band perform and it was awesome. Crow tastes bad.

Starting out with Seabird; they played Black & Blue, Rescue, Cottonmouth, Don't You Know That You're Beautiful and a new one called Believe Me. I was sobbing when they finished, their music was completely gorgeous!
I was fine to leave then, I had already reached emotional instability, but then Dan Yew came and put on some amazingly beautiful songs! He sang Beautiful King, Wake Up and a few other songs. I shall definitely put him on my musical radar.

David Crowder Band came on next and their songs are SO much better live! Oh, it was unbelievable. The rocked, joked and interrupted You Are My Joy (my fav song of theirs) to say that they were entering a segment with "Guitar shredding, songs of epic length and possibly attempting to sing notes that were never meant to be sung by humans"
I loved that part.

They used awesome instruments, and they wore awesome clothes, but I couldn't see anything on the stage; everyone was standing up. They had screens up and I got some movies of the screens, which I will post soon.

Oh, I forgot. This man sitting behind us gave us some VIP passes so we got to meet the band!
We stood in a long line, thinking of ways to make the band remember us. When we approached the band, I had them sign my English homework!

They said:
"You don't have to turn this in, do you?"
". . ."
"Ahh. . . I remember this, prepositional phrases, yeah. . ."
"Ah, oh no! I had to get tutored on this! Sentence graphing!" (He picked it up and hit his head with it while I cracked up.)
"Ooh, I'm learning something."
"Hey there, you have a good time?"

One of my sisters gave a huge smile that caught them all off guard and David Crowder called my littlest sister sweet, so I think we were a success : D I told them that I thought I wouldn't like the concert, but I had an awesome time and they all smiled at me and said, "Great!" almost in unison, it was funny.

Tragically, I didn't get to meet Seabird. They said earlier that nobody had heard of them, and I wanted to spring up and say, "I've been a fan since you started! You're music makes me cry! Hey over here!", but I was in the back.

So anyway, I'm suffering minor symptoms of PCD (Post Concert Depression), but I got some videos. . .

The most fun I've had in a long time, all free! I calculated ticket costs plus the VIP passes and the total would have been $300. God is good!

Movies, autographs and pics to come.

Happy music bliss,

Sophia

Plans and more plans

Tomorrow is when I shall travel to Federal Way to a concert which I hope will be good.
And what do you think? My radio station sent us four more tickets. Ah, the irony. . .

So tomorrow I'm going to make some french bread, utilizing my new and special techniques to make it taste more rustic. I've never tasted, or made "rustic" bread, so I'll get a chance soon.

I'll post something more interesting tomorrow, the internet at our house is being completely insane!

See ya

A (hopefully) good idea

I'm thinking about a theme blog. This blog is about me, and if I weren't me, I'd be yawning and thinking, "Why did I decide to look at this blog? I don't even know this girl and I don't care".
If I weren't me and I knew me then I might find it interesting, but being me I can't judge.

Follow?

Okay, so I thought maybe if I had a theme blog about something, like knitting, baking, sewing, cleaning, figure skating, reenacting or whatever other random hobby I had, then people who saw it would be more interested, "Oh a girl who only sews..."

I think it would be fun, and I might try it, but what theme? Something different, interesting, original. All of my hobbies are completely used and done. Maybe I could become a critic? Cookies, houses, movies, pencils? Well, who'd want to read about pencils?

Ideas?

Ramble ramble ramble,

Sophia

Going, going...still going...

My mp3 player is slowly dying, dying.
I'm completely upset. It still sort of works but I think Capital Lights killed it. I uploaded Capital Lights music onto it then it went all crazy.
My sister informs me that this sort of thought is a fallacy, and I quite agree with her, I just like the idea of my favorite artist destroying my mp3 player.

Capital Lights is my favorite artist now, yes. They wrote two of my favorite songs. My favorite composers are John Williams (the John Williams) and Jonathan Williams. I like to say this to confuse people : )

Unfortunately, I discovered Capital Lights a week after they disbanded. I am madly scrambling to buy everything by them, and everything about them. T-shirts, cds, EPs and pictures. I can't find their first EP, so I'm upset, but still hopeful and determined.

One of the things that kills me is that Capital Lights lived in Seattle for a while...They're in Oklahoma now...

Is it just me or does everybody have grim near misses with bands? Is this a trend? Am I unlucky?

I need to be working on Geometry.
