Hey, peeps!
This is my dress design for Shabby Apple dresses. Have you heard of Shabby Apple? They sell really cute (and mostly modest) dresses. Their design contest ends today (eek!) so I'm just in time to enter.
My dress is designed for spring, on the sunny days where you reluctantly bring your sweater, because you want it to be summertime. Lightweight, versatile, comfortable enough to spend all day in. Not too dressy, but can be dressed up.
I drew up this dress with these sort of days in mind, as my inspiration. The days that are full of light, and sun.
I think that this dress is best yellow, or any other pastel. I'd use a lightweight cotton knit blend, so that it would be a slip-on dress. I could also see it in light cornflower blue cotton, maybe with a zipper in the back. . .
So glad it's the weekend. . .What have you been up to lately?

That's a lovely design!! The sleeves are really cute, and I love the color choices! I would probably get the cornflower blue color. :) Your drawing turned out wonderfully, too!
It's very cute, I love the yellow.
Why thank you, ladies!
Love it, I'd definatly go for one in emerald greenish color or blue!!! You are an amazing artist too!! Wow! :D
Hi, Sophia! I'm so glad your mom directed me to your dress design too! I saw your sister's, and all the comments I made about hers (both before and after the finalists were chosen) would apply to your dress as well. Such a lovely design. I agree that it would look great in both of the colors you mentioned, as well as in other pastels. Nice work!

Hi Aunt Stephanie! *waves and blow kisses* Thanks! Thank you also for joining the fearless. The few. The blog followers.
LOL!! You make me feel like a US Marine or something. ;-)
Your music playlist has been playing on my computer for the last couple of hours while I've been working in the other room. I've really been enjoying it! I like your taste in music. :-)
Hugs to you and your family!
That is so pretty. And I agree it would look really nice in a cornflower blue. I know this is a old blog so have you made it?
I have not made it yet. . . I hope to over the summer!
